During his visit, Bakan Yerlikaya had the opportunity to meet with the soldiers stationed at the Tendürek Military Base, where he shared the good news of Eid al-Adha with them and congratulated them on their service.

While at the base, Bakan Yerlikaya spoke with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the phone and shared the details of his visit. President Erdoğan expressed his pleasure with the establishment of this military base and its potential to contribute to the fight against terrorism, saying, “I believe that having such a base will make us much more successful in our fight against terrorism. You are already the security supabıs of this operation.”

President Erdoğan also congratulated Bakan Yerlikaya on bringing the soldiers together and wished them all a happy Eid al-Adha. He added, “May Eid al-Adha be the occasion for unity, togetherness, and peace in the world. I entrust you all to Allah.”

Bakan Yerlikaya was accompanied by Van Governor Ozan Balcı and Armed Forces Commander General Arif Çetin during his visit.
